For this assignment we had to take three pictures showing front lighting, back lighting, side lighting and top lighting.
Front Lighting- when the light source, natural lighting from the sun, shines on the front of the subject.
In these pictures, the light source- the sun, is shining through the window right into the students face.
Back Lighting- when the light source shines from the back of your subject, making the figure darker.
In these pictures, the light source- the sun, is shining through the window making the student dark.
Side Lighting- when the light source is on the side of your subject, casing a shadow on half the body.
In these pictures the sun is shining on one side of their bodies, casting a shadow on the other side.
Top Lighting- when your light source is shining from the top of the subject, such as the sun in the middle of the day or a single light in a building.
In these pictures, the light sources, the sun and the light in the school are casting shadows on the top of their heads.
